Tashy, born in India, in the Himalayas, is brought by his fater at 5 to live in a buddhist monastery. At a few thousand meters above sea level he is raised by an older monk. After completing a stage of three years meditation in a cave - he returns to the monastery, and is haunted by dreams. Doubting The Way of the Buddha he returns in the world, where he lives a normal life, has a wife, a child, a mistress. Upon the news of the death of his master, he returns to the monastery.
